This looks really neat. I dig the autumnal color palette you have going. I’ve only been exposed to your comics for a short while, but I am one of your biggest fans and will buy whatever silly, surreal work of genius you engineer. You have inspired me to begin writing my own comics. What are you up to in your laboratory lately? What’s your writing process like? I’d love to hear from you.

Thanks Theodore, it means a lot to hear this! Currently I’m at work on a collection of short horror stories (of which this is a page of) and a comic that revisits a story I made awhile ago (I always find myself revisiting older work). My writing process usually proceeds from the images first– I draw out the page, and then try to make meaning of it. In school, I learned that this is practically the same method employed by Marvel comics with Jack Kirby’s work– it gives the comics more spontaneity. Good to hear that you are working on your own stuff– feel free to show me some of it if you feel like it.
